Book Description

From the author of the instant New York Times bestseller The Wives comes another twisted psychological thriller guaranteed to turn your world upside down.

Have you ever been wrong about someone?

Juno was wrong about Winnie Crouch.

Before moving in with the Crouch family, Juno thought Winnie and her husband, Nigel, had the perfect marriage, the perfect son—the perfect life. Only now that she’s living in their beautiful house, she sees the cracks in the crumbling facade are too deep to ignore.

Still, she isn’t one to judge. After her grim diagnosis, the retired therapist simply wants a place to live out the rest of her days in peace. But that peace is shattered the day Juno overhears a chilling conversation between Winnie and Nigel…

She shouldn’t get involved.

She really shouldn’t.

But this could be her chance to make a few things right.

Because if you thought Juno didn’t have a secret of her own, then you were wrong about her, too.

From the wickedly dark mind of bestselling author Tarryn Fisher, The Wrong Family is a taut new thriller that’s riddled with twists in all the right places.

Book Review

The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher is one of my new favorite books! Fisher brings her dark twistedness to a whole new level in The Wrong Family! The Wrong Family is a must read for thriller fans.

Juno is a woman in her sixties living with Winnie, Nigel and their son, Samuel Crouch. Juno learns that what goes on inside a family’s home is not always what you see from the outside. Juno overhears a conversation that makes her question everything about the Crouches. Juno decides to investigate to try to uncover the truth and right wrongs.

I have nothing but praise for The Wrong Family. This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2020 and Fisher didn’t disappoint. I have read and loved all of Tarryn’s books. The Wrong Family is one of her best books yet.

The Wrong Family is so dark and twisted. You think it can’t get darker and then it does just like you expect in a Tarryn Fisher novel. Nothing is as it seems. There were multiple times I thought I figured it out and thought the revelations weren’t big enough. That was because I was wrong and the revelation hadn’t happened. The Wrong Family will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page.

The Wrong Family is told from Juno and Winnie’s perspectives. Both women have completely different lifestyles and appear to have little in common. Juno and Winnie both have secrets and are very interesting characters. There is so much suspense leading up to revealing the secrets. Both women feel trapped.

I was so invested in these women’s stories since the first page. I didn’t like Winnie much from the beginning but still cared so much about what happened to her. Tarryn bases her characters off of personality flaws. I find this extremely interesting and love that her characters seem real.

I recommend The Wrong Family to fans of Gone Girl, Verity, and The Wives. The Wrong Family is a must read for anyone that likes dark thrillers.

Thank you Edelweiss and Graydon House/Harper Collins for The Wrong Family.
