American Royals

What if America was run by a royal family descended from George Washington?

Read American Royals to find out Katharine McGee’s answer.  I love this book so much. American Royals is about the princesses and prince of America. Beatrice is the heir to the throne and feels like she always has to be perfect. Princess Samantha feels like she isn’t important so is always breaking the rules. Beatrice wishes she could have Sam’s freedom and Sam wishes she could be as important as Beatrice. Sam’s twin is Prince Jefferson who is always trying to make everyone happy. That’s why he dated Daphne so long. Daphne’s goal is to be a princess. Nina is Sam’s best friend since childhood. Nina’s mom was a maid for the royal family.

All of the characters fall in love with someone they can’t have. Some handle it better than others, but all of them have difficulties deciding if they should follow their heart or do what is expected. Everyone feels like they have a role they have to play.

I LOVE this book. It is so entertaining and such a cute story. I always find princess stories entertaining and this is my favorite princess story.

I reread American Royals before reading Majesty, and I loved it as much as the first time.

I highly recommend American Royals to any YA fans that like princesses.

Majesty

Publication Date: September 1, 2020

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Majesty is an excellent continuation of American Royals. Majesty was one of those sequels that I couldn’t wait to read. I suggest reading American Royals before Majesty. All of your favorite characters from American Royals are back.

In Majesty, Beatrice is the first Queen of America. There are a lot of people that do not think Beatrice can rule. She has to deal with all of that as well as dealing with marrying a man other than the man she loves. Will Beatrice go through with the wedding?

Sam is now the heir to the throne. Sam is still mad at Beatrice for the same reason she was mad at Beatrice in American Royals. Sam develops a new love interest. Will she get over her old love or is this new one just to make him jealous?

Who will Jefferson end up with? One of the two love interests from American Royals or someone else?

I loved this continuation of an excellent story. I love all of the characters so much. Majesty develops the characters more. All of the characters mature based on their new roles. Sam is no longer just breaking the rules, but now has an important role.

I won’t give anything away, but I was very happy with the outcome of this book. I love all of Katharine McGee’s books, so that wasn’t a surprise.

I highly recommend the American Royals series to any fans of YA, princesses, and cute romances.
